The engine, chassis, and cab of a standard dump truck are constructed similarly to those of a general cargo truck.

High-pressure oil enters the lifting hydraulic cylinder through the distribution valve and oil pipes. The front of the truck bed has a safety guard plate for the driver's cab.

The engine drives the hydraulic pump through the transmission and power take-off unit. The truck bed hydraulic tipping mechanism consists of an oil tank, hydraulic pump, distribution valve, lifting hydraulic cylinder, control valve, and oil pipes.

The engine drives the hydraulic pump through the transmission and power take-off unit. High-pressure oil enters the lifting hydraulic cylinder through the distribution valve and oil pipes, pushing the piston rod to tilt the truck bed. Rearward tilting is the most common. The piston rod movement is controlled by the operating system, allowing the truck bed to stop at any desired tilt position. The truck bed returns to its original position using its own weight and hydraulic control.
